OK Governor Mary Fallin Vetoes Bills She Asked for as She Attempts to Show the Legislature Who is Boss by Vetoing 17 Bills!

Rep. Jason Murphey, R-Guthrie, said he didn’t understand why the governor Tuesday vetoed two of his bills that he said were requested directly from her office.  He said one of the bills was designed to save tax dollars by allowing state agencies to better use their purchase card authority.  “The governor is essentially vetoing her own request bill,” Murphey said. “It makes no sense.”  (My bold and emphasis in article)

The Fallin aggressive agenda isn't to move Oklahoma forward but to brandish her conservative credentials with the Tea Party.  When I read that former Senator Cal Hobson said she was originally a moderate Republican, it is starting to make sense.  Fallin made sure her opponent in the last primary, former State Senator Randy Brogdan who is very hard right, pulled out of the Governor's race to run for US Senator. What did she offer him is a question many here are starting to ask?
Gov Fallin has the disdain of people from around the world after the botched execution and her lie that he didn't regain consciousness or the whopper from Attorney General Pruitt that these drugs had been tested when it was the first time they were used.  Reporters witnessed him coming back and trying to get off the table hearing him say "Man" but she tries to tell us he didn't regain consciousness.  How dumb does she think Oklahomans are -- not all of us are Tea Party and even some Republicans I know here are questioning her being Governor for four more years.  The details of the botched execution are chilling:
While Mr. Lockett was convicted of a gruesome and disgusting murder, this does not change the fact that the way he died was in violation of both the laws of this nation and our collective morality as a community.
As a result of these actions, we demand that the United States Department of Justice open a full investigation into Governor Mary Fallin and the Oklahoma State Department of Corrections, and their decision to 1) use an untested combination of chemicals during a state-sanctioned execution, despite the severe risk of severe pain and suffering for the condemned; 2) the secrecy with which these drugs were obtained; and 3) the coercive means used to get the Oklahoma Supreme Court to reverse its stay of execution and essentially fast-track the proceedings, which led to Mr. Lockett's horrible death.
Agree 100% that the Department of Justice needs to investigate all of this including our Supreme Court being faced with impeachment and setting up a constitutional crises by the Governor, Attorney General, and some State GOP Legislators.
Personally after what we are witnessing, I think having her for eight more months is too long.  That press conference yesterday on the botched execution made me cringe.  She has totally lost it and the State suffers.  She has attempted to move the state very hard right when the majority of our state is moderate to conservative with Democrats, Independents, and a good number of Republican who are not part of the hard right which has driven me out of the GOP for good.  Didn't like the hard right when I first got involved in GOP politics here and now I loathe them and am leaving the party because the Republican Party is not big enough for me and the hard right, militia, Tea Party, John Birchers, Libertarians, and religious right social conservatives.
Why all the secrecy not just with the drugs and the protocol but with her office.  It almost takes an act of Congress to get her to honor a Freedom of Information request.  What is she hiding?  Never would vote for someone who pulls the stunt of vetoing bills to get their way.  I have lived in various states and she is the worst Governor I have ever had by far and that includes Dukakis in MA and Jerry Brown in his first term in California.   You cannot fathom how I regret supporting her in 2010 as I have watched her get progressively worse.  One of the worst choices of supporting a candidate I ever made.  Falllin should become the poster person for the "My Way or No Way" group of hard right!

Gov.: Vetoes will continue until ‘major issues’ are addressed
By Janelle Stecklein
The Norman Transcript
OKLAHOMA CITY — In what critics describe as an attempt at political manipulation, Gov. Mary Fallin took a swing at legislators Tuesday, announcing she would be rejecting their bills that were awaiting her signature until they tackle the state’s “major issues.”
By noon Tuesday, Fallin rejected 15 of 16 House bills awaiting her signature that she claimed didn’t have “substantial” benefits, are “redundant” or are “just bad policy.” At a press conference announcing her decision, she pledged the vetoes of House-proposed bills would continue until the House tackles issues that she believes are important to Oklahomans rather than special interest groups.
“Lawmakers continue to find ways to avoid passing meaningful legislation,” she said. “We cannot continue to ignore the big issues facing the state.”
Fallin said the House needs to pass legislation dealing with storm shelters at schools, set the budget for this coming year, look at funding Capitol improvements, fix the pension system and improve the health of Oklahomans.
“I’ve used my executive power, my executive authority to set aside ‘minor issues’ so that we can have more time to deal with major issues here at the Capitol and hopefully get the attention to get those things done,” she said.
Among the causalities of Fallin’s pen were bills that came from legislators across the state. They dealt with issues like expungements, regulating the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, liquor industry regulations and a bill that she claims makes it easier to sell stolen watches.
“Gov. Fallin developed an aggressive agenda this session to move Oklahoma forward, however moving that agenda through the legislative process requires developing relationships with legislators across the state,” said House Speaker Jeff Hickman, R-Fairview, in a statement.
He said legislators have passed an income tax cut, pension reform measures, and a ban on youth access to e-cigarettes, which were all part of the governor’s agenda
....
Fallin vetoed the bill authored by Williams and Senate Minority Leader Sean Burrage, D-Claremore, which would have made it easier for people to get crimes expunged off their records. The bill had bipartisan support, and Williams said it was frustrating to lose a substantive bill “on the 1-yard line” because Fallin needed to pad her veto list for the day. He predicted her move would “infuriate” people, and hopefully lead to moves by the legislature to overturn her vetoes.
He said such behavior by an Oklahoma governor is unprecedented and “politics of pride.”
“She does not believe the House has addressed her set of priorities so this is our punishment,” he said. “I don’t like being used in this manner. My constituents don’t like being used in this manner. I don’t think there’s a constituent out there that would support her in a move like today.”

Veto of 15 bills wasn't enough for the out of control Governor as she vetoed two more today.  She says that the Legislature is not taking action on her key agenda items but two of the bills of Rep Murphey (R-Guthrie) that were sent to her office that she vetoed, she asked to be submitted in the Legislature. Tell me that the OK Governor is not out of control when you veto bills you asked to be passed.

Today Fallin vetoed two more bills saying it was in the best interest of Oklahoma:
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Gov. Mary Fallin has issued two more vetoes on bills she says are not in the best interest of Oklahoma.
Fallin vetoed the pair of bills on Wednesday, the same day the House voted to override a previous veto on a bill regarding federal regulations on firearms.
One of the bills would have prevented law enforcement agencies from entering into contracts with non-law-enforcement entities. Fallin says the bill was well-intentioned but may slow the progress of law enforcement activity.
The second veto was for a bill that would change the amount of paid time a state employee can spend on professional development.
The vetoes come after a string of 15 vetoes earlier in the week. Fallin has accused state lawmakers of not taking action on her key agenda items.
This article was written back in January about Governor Fallin -- would like to know what former State Senator Cal Hobson thinks today since she has gotten much worse:

Fallin: Not pure enough for Tea Partiers
By Cal Hobson
The Norman Transcript
NORMAN — Let me make something very clear at the very beginning: I served with then-state-representative and now-Gov. Mary Fallin for a number of years when we both were in the legislature. I liked her then and like her personally today. She was and is a pleasant, dedicated career politician and a very successful campaigner.
She was a moderate Republican legislator who seemed to vote policy first, politics second.
However, apparently her political leanings have changed dramatically. To put it bluntly, she has been an awful chief executive of our state.
Clearly, based on her policies and initiatives, Fallin’s top objective during her first term as governor has been to make sure no Republican challenger would be able to attack her for not being conservative enough. And she really worked at it.
How otherwise to explain the deepest cuts found in the nation in funding for public schools (22.8 percent cut in a system where 95 percent of our kids are enrolled); a huge drop in the state’s share of financial support for higher education plummeting from 30 percent six years ago, now moving toward 11 percent in 2014; and endless and, thankfully, so far, futile efforts to cut our state’s already very modest tax base. We were seventh lowest nationally in 2012.
Her personal income tax reductions are ill-conceived and unnecessary in an already very friendly environment to do business. Additionally, the governor’s 2013 tax hoax, just struck down unanimously by the Oklahoma Supreme Court, with the opinion written by a Republican appointee, would have rewarded a family of four with an annual income of $40,000, a whopping tax cut of 35 cents a day in 2016.
Besides ignoring our aforementioned educators, Fallin stiffed public employees by ordering a “study” of their salaries, a classic dodge, while she gave generous pay raises to her own staff.

We don't have a Governor, we have a dictator so New Jersey we know exactly how you feel with Governor Christie.  Wonder what the National Governor's Association is thinking having Fallin as their spokesman.  Her statement about looking out for Oklahomans is a bad joke IMHO.

Democrats need to work together with Independents and some GOP to oust Fallin as Governor by supporting Democrat Rep Joe Dorman, who is opposing Fallin for Governor.  I have yet to find anyone who doesn't like him.  Maybe my GOP state rep but I won't talk to him ever again.  The Conscientious Objector who had the Oklahoman taxpayers pay for his college and Law School then claimed CO status twice so not to serve overseas can shove it in my book.  First time he ran we had State Chair who understood why so many of us opposed him but he is probably the last honest chair that has led OK GOP.  He might be the ONLY honest one to head OK GOP since we have been in the state.

Return Common Sense to the Governor's Office, vote for Joe Dorman for Governor!  Follow Joe on Twitter at @Dorman2014 or on Facebook -- time to elect a Governor for all Oklahomans not just the wealthy!

Senator Graham (R-SC) Says He Will Block SecDef Hagel and CIA Brennan Nominations over Benghazi on Face the Nation

Senator Graham putting Party over Country on Benghazi and Secretary of Defense nominee Chuck Hagel needs to retire  from the Air Force Reserve JAG Corps.  The day Graham openly attacked the Commander in Chief which he serves while in the Reserves is the day he should have left the Reserves.
Had not planned to post anything over the weekend but Sen Graham's comments on Fact the Nation on top of his earlier comments about Benghazi, Secretary of State Clinton, and Sec Def nominee Hagel sent a lot of us over the edge and wouldn't support him today for dog catcher.
My utter contempt for Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is at an all time high with his latest ploy to play up to South Carolina voters in the primary.  Secretary of Defense Panetta has already left his post while DoD is waiting for their new Secretary of Defense Hagel to arrive which has been delayed.  Why you ask? First is was 22 Republicans want more information which is purely political but along comes Lindsey Graham, Senator from South Carolina who didn't get the answers he wanted from the White House to fit his narrative on Benghazi so he plans to put a hold on the nominations.
Hillary Clinton testifying wasn't enough for him I guess because he wants a pound of flesh out of our President.  Graham is the same person who accused Hillary of murder over Benghazi.  Would he do this if a Republican white guy was President?  Not on your life!  This is all about a Democrat being President or maybe even a black man being President.  Put nothing past Graham today as he panders for primary votes.
Senator McCain, Graham's good friend, said it is wrong to hold up the Hagel nomination by filibuster but he hasn't decided yet if he is voting for or against but leaning against.  McCain knows it sets a bad precedent if the GOP ever takes back the White House which is highly unlikely after the Country has lived through at least six years of the Republican obstructionism.  Now Graham wants to hold up Hagel about Benghazi who had zero to do with what happened?   I don't agree with it for the CIA director, but I could understand the CIA Director more since the CIA was involved.
Graham doesn't deserve to be a United States Senator among others who forgot the oath of office they took when sworn in as Senators which does not state they are to obstruct anything the President does including appointees:
Oath of OfficeI do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
The authority given by the U.S. Constitution to the Senate to ratify treaties and confirm presidential cabinet, ambassadorial, and judicial appointments, Article II, Section 2 (second part):
He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.
Seems that the Republican Party that wraps themselves in the Constitution is going outside the Constitution on appointees.  Here is what Lindsey Graham is threatening to do:
If any Senator objects to unanimous consent, then a cloture motion must be filed in order to end debate and move to a vote.  A cloture motion requires 60 votes to pass.  If 60 Senators support cloture, the full Senate will vote on the nomination, with a majority required for confirmation.  If fewer than 60 Senators support cloture, debate continues and a confirmation vote cannot occur.  This is known as a filibuster.
Once the Senate holds a confirmation vote, with a majority voting to confirm, the nominee takes office. No Labels has an excellent article on the filibuster:
Effects of the Filibuster
Even with the 1975 rules change allowing the Senate to conduct other business while a filibuster is underway, every filibuster kicks off a complex set of Senate procedures that can bring the Senate to a halt for up to a week and prevents other critical issues from being addressed.
Filibusters on motions to proceed prevent the Senate from even being able to consider ideas for how to solve our country’s big problems. For years now, small numbers of senators representing as little as 11% of the country have kept the Senate from even discussing important legislation that has passed committee review.
Virtual Filibusters allow small numbers of senators to effortlessly place personal political agendas above the work of government with no consequence. As a result, even routine Senate functions like approving executive appointees get mired in partisan politics, resulting in 85 vacancies on federal judiciary benches. Major pieces of legislation, including a bill that would have provided medical care for 9/11 responders, have enjoyed majority support in the Senate yet died in the face of filibusters for lack of cloture.
Legislation that should pass into law has been canceled and courts have been thrown into disarray, but the senators who have helped make that happen have never needed to actually make a case to their colleagues or their constituents.
Senator Hagel's nomination only requires a majority vote but now Graham has threatened to delay it by using the silent filibuster and then cloture would require 60 votes so right there it changes the game when only 51 votes are required to pass a nominee.  It is even more disgusting when you realize that Graham is a member of the JAG corp of the Air Force Reserve holding the rank of Colonel.  He is a Senior Instructor at the Air Force JAG School when on active duty.
No one questions his right to ask questions but question his holding up nominations to get answers to fit his narrative even though the White House has been clear about what happened.  This is pure politics the kinds that most Americans detest.
Not a soul I have talked to from any of the services over the last few weeks can believe he is still in the Reserves and treats the potential Secretary of Defense and outgoing Secretary of State with such disrespect and arrogance.  When he attacked SoS Clinton for murder over Benghazi, it sent a lot of active and retired military over the top at Graham.  To a person they think he has lost objectivity because of his hatred for the President and needs to retire or resign his commission in the AF Reserves.  A JAG officer no less makes such outlandish statements when he should know better.  Accusing someone of murder is a serious allegation.
Lindsey Graham's appearance on Face the Nation this morning has irritated a lot of people even more when he wants to put a hold on Hagel and admits it is about Benghazi.  He has become a regular on the Sunday talk shows or running out to microphones.  Who is pulling his strings is what people are starting to ask:
Video at Huffington Post from Face the Nation interview with Graham.  Normally I would post as it has the embedded information, but I don't want to log onto my blog and see Graham's face.  Here is what happened this morning with my bold:
WASHINGTON -- Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) plans to block two of President Barack Obama's top national security nominees until he gets answers from the White House on the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya.
Speaking on CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday, Graham said he was not going to let Chuck Hagel go forward as Secretary of Defense nor let John Brennan move ahead as CIA director unless he gets more information on the president's involvement in the response to the consulate attack that resulted in the killing of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others.
"I don’t think we should allow Brennan to go forward for the CIA directorship, Hagel to be confirmed to Secretary of Defense until the White House gives us an accounting," said Graham. "Did the president ever pick up the phone and call anyone in the Libyan government to help these folks? What did the president do?"
"We know he talked to the Israeli Prime Minister from 8 to 9 on September the 11th [2012], about a dust-up of the Democratic platform, and the fact that he didn’t meet the Prime Minister of Israel when he came to New York to visit the U.N., but that’s not related to Libya," Graham added. "What did he do that night? That’s not unfair. The families need to know, the American people need to know."
"Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer pressed Graham on his plan, asking, "You are saying that you are going to block the nominations, you’re going to block them from coming to a vote, until you get an answer to this?"
"Yes," Graham replied.
It's not exactly clear how the South Carolina senator would block the nominations, since he insisted that he would not stage a filibuster. Graham recently said, "Filibustering is something I do very reluctantly."
Senate Armed Services Committee Chair Carl Levin (D-Mich.) delayed the vote on Hagel's confirmation last week, after 26 Republican senators demanded more information from the former Republican Nebraska senator. The request for information on Libya, however, is not directly related to Hagel's nomination.
In response to Graham's remarks on Sunday, Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.), who also appeared on "Face the Nation," said it was "unprecedented and unwarranted to stop, or attempt to try and stop" the nominations of Hagel and Brennan.
"To try to find information, to ask legitimate questions, as Sen. Graham is doing, is completely appropriate," said Reed. "But then to turn around and say, 'I’m going to disrupt, essentially, the nomination of two key members of the president’s cabinet' -- I don’t think that’s appropriate, I don’t think it’s warranted. I think it is an overreaction that is not going to serve the best interest going forward of the national security of the United States."
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), one of Graham's closest friends in the Senate, has repeatedly insisted that it would be inappropriate to filibuster Hagel. He said in an interview on "Fox News Sunday" that he was still undecided on whether would vote for the president's defense secretary pick, but said he was leaning against it.
Senator Reed of Rhode Island is correct that is is an overreaction that does not serve the best interest of the Country but in the last four years Republicans have been putting Party over Country so guess we shouldn't be shocked.  Call on Senator Graham to do the honorable thing and retire or resign from the Air Force Reserve JAG Corps which he should have done before he became so partisan against the President who is Commander in Chief of our Armed Forces.  Graham crossed the line as an Air Force Reservist IMHO and needs to leave the Air Force Reserve.  Note no one is calling for him to leave the Senate only the Air Force Reserves.

Senator McConnell is Dishonest on Gun Control with his Constituents

McConnell needs to retire from the Senate and leadership after this email and robocalling on gun control

In an 'urgent' email to his constituents in Kentucky, McConnell lied about President Obama and his plans for gun control.  As Minority Leader he want way past the line as the loyal opposition and needs called on his actions by fellow Republican Senators.  He talks about shredding our Constitution with gun control even though it was also passed under President Reagan.  Mr. McConnell, is the one shredding our Constitution with lies and distortions putting his zeal to raise money for his campaign over honesty, integrity, and adherence to the oath of office he took.  That email makes sure you know where you can donate to his campaign.  Is he afraid of Ashley Judd running against him?

First of all, the 23 executive orders signed by President Obama are not against the Constitution which McConnell very well knows and if he doesn't, he is too dumb to be in the Senate.  He is bought and paid for by Wayne LaPierre and the NRA which is very evident.  He puts winning elections over the good of the Country and has been doing that for years.  Donors first, GOP second, and American taxpayers a distant third.

Anyone in leadership who sends out such garbage and makes a voice recording to go to phones in their state needs out of office today.  He has lost all credibility with this stunt and time for the GOP in the Senate to grow spines and take action.  This is reprehensible out of the Minority Leader:
In an urgent email from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, he warned fellow Kentuckians that “You and I are literally surrounded. The gun-grabbers in the Senate are about to launch an all-out-assault on your rights, on your freedom from those who want to shred our Constitution – they’re coming for your guns.” McConnell’s campaign manager, Jesse Benton, said “It is almost hard to believe the sheer breadth and brazenness of this attempt to gut our Constitution,” referring to gun control measures to reduce the proliferation of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines on American streets.
McConnell’s use of battleground siege terminology such as “surrounded” and “about to launch an all-out assault” cannot be misconstrued as anything other than government declaring war on gun owners and the U.S. Constitution. McConnell even made a pre-recorded phone message telling Kentucky hunters and gun owners “Their efforts to restrict your rights, invading your personal privacy and overstepping their bounds with executive orders, is just plain wrong,” and he vowed to fight them “tooth and nail.” The only thing missing from McConnell’s clarion call to arms was the time and staging area to make a stand against tyrannical government reminiscent of colonial Americans facing British troops at Concord where the “shot heard round the world” signaled the beginning of America’s war of independence. An NRA spokesman and board member did make a direct reference to Concord in a warning to the Obama Administration.
Then there is Ted Nugent who was aligned with the Romney campaign and is a friend of George W Bush so you can see his rhetoric has permeated the highest levels of the GOP who remain silent.  No one in leadership seems inclined to call McConnell or Nugent out for their rash and potentially harmful statements.  Do they not realize there are gun owners out there on the very edge like Tim McVeigh, the people at Ruby Ridge, Waco, abortion doctor killers, etc. that listen to what they say and take it to heart.  Those people could take their guns and start shooting at law enforcement believing the Government is coming for their guns?  Some are unstable to being with and this could push them over like the guy in NY who set fire to a house and started shooting firemen.  How many of the shootings have been set off by the harsh gun rhetoric over the last six months that has escalated since Sandy Hook.  It way pretty nasty during the campaign that was filled with a lot of lies and hate filled statements toward the President from the right.

People with common sense will just say they (McConnell and Nugent) are nuts or loons but we have people in this Country that hang on to words by people like McConnell and Nugent thinking they are telling the truth and it is a call to arms.  Fox News also comes to mind with their scare tactics.  When you state that Ronald Reagan signed an Assault Weapons Ban, the hard right calls you a liar and will trash or threaten you on line.  The hard right doesn't think twice of putting Malware or accusing your blog of spam if you dare go after the NRA or one of their heroes.  Know because I have had it happen several times.  Does it silence me?  Not even close as it makes me more determined than ever to get out the truth.

You see in today's America, many of the hard right only believe that they have the right of Free Speech not anyone else.  They have the only correct agenda and anyone else's needs trashed.  Small minded people who are easily led around by the likes of Mitch McConnell, the NRA, Ted Nugent, Glenn Beck, Rush, Hannity, Levin, Fox News and others who don't mind lying to fit their narrative.  This group is trying to tear this Nation apart and finally Common Sense Republicans from all over the Country have had it -- no one listens to us who are justly lowly activists and voters but when the 2014 elections roll around a lot of Republicans like myself will be voting for Democrats to oust this bunch of neanderthals from the House and Senate.  We are tired of their rhetoric, lies, and refusal to stand up and be counted by putting Country first over the hard right GOP.  This group prefers to put hard right GOP Tea Party, John Birchers, libertarian GOP, and their major donors over Country.

Today's GOP elected officials are always working the angle which you can see right through.  Perfect example was the VA redistricting which is against their Constitution but it didn't stop the GOP from passing it  on Inauguration Day since a longtime member of the Senate and Civil Rights advocate was at the Inauguration and so they had the majority to pass.  Today's GOP doesn't want you to know a lot of things as they play on emotions of the hard right to get what they want.  Lying has become an art form for the GOP today.  The fact they have not disavowed Ted Nugent speaks volumes about the lack of integrity and honesty in today's GOP who would rather go after Beyonce for lip singing then a maniac like Nugent for wanting to start a revolution:
The NRA board member, draft dodger Ted Nugent, made his comments during the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) in Las Vegas over last weekend.
Nugent said the “Barack Obama gang is actually attempting to re-implement the tyranny of King George that we escaped from in 1776, and if you want another Concord Bridge, I got some buddies.” Nugent summoned the Revolutionary milestone that pitted a group of colonists against British soldiers assembled at the North Bridge in Concord, Mass. in 1775, and broke a standoff when a soldier opened fire. Nugent went on a tirade claiming “The president of the United States goes to the Vietnam Memorial Wall and pretends to honor 58,000 American heroes who died fighting communism and he pretends to pay honor to men who died fighting communism, and then he hangs out with, hires and appoints communists. He is an evil, dangerous man who hates America and hates freedom. And we need to fix this as soon as possible.”
Nugent has an inordinate amount of gall citing the 58,000 American heroes who died fighting communism in Viet Nam, because to avoid serving his country, he defecated and urinated in his own pants and feigned insanity when he went before the draft board because as he said, “I did not want to get my ass blown off in Vietnam.” Apparently the NRA board member who was too much of a coward to fight for his country has no  compunction fighting against his own country, or inciting his gun-fanatic buddies to “fix” the fact the American people re-elected President Obama; “as soon as possible.”
Since the Sandy Hook massacre took place prompting outrage and calls for stricter gun controls and safety measures to protect Americans from gun-crazed “law abiding citizens” and their assault weapons, so-called patriots who equate sane gun laws with “shredding the Constitution” have made overtures of revolution to protect their precious AR15s and high-capacity magazines.
However, McConnell and Nugent represent the first official institutional forays into inciting gun advocates to fight tooth and nail against President Obama’s attempt to blunt the daily reports of gun atrocities McConnell and Nugent claim are “shredding the Constitution” that drives hate-filled gun-zealots into revolutionary war mode.
It is noteworthy that neither the NRA, or the Republican Party, have distanced themselves from Nugent or McConnell’s fear mongering and blatant lies that serve one purpose and one purpose only; incite violence against the United States government and its Commander in Chief that regardless how one defines it, is sedition.
RMuse at Politicususa had it right -- please visit the site for the full article as it is well worth reading.

It is a sad state of affairs for this long time Republican when I have had to start visiting progressive sites to get the truth because conservative sites are giving spin or outright lying about what I can see right before my eyes.  Where are the conservative sites in highlighting what McConnell or Nugent said?  Silent because it goes against their narrative.  These are quotes of these two men not some 3rd hand remark that was repeated.  Conservatives don't seem to care what is the right thing to say or do as their egos have gotten so large that they think they can say or do anything they want and no one is going to challenge them.

Unfortunately, their only challenge comes from the left and the GOP just swats that away that those people just hate conservatives.  Pretty good deal they have as so many people believe just that -- it is liberal talk because our guys are honest in what they are saying.  Many on the right refuse to look down below the surface because I think many suspect they are being fed garbage but don't want to admit that the liberals just might be right or even some more moderate conservatives are right.  When you finally take off those blinders, the anger at being duped sets in, then you get mad at yourself for falling for the nonsense all these years, and then in the 3rd stage you want the Republicans/pundits who duped gone from the stage especially candidates who you helped win your hard work.  After that you agree to join others on the center and left in working to oust these hard right GOP from the House in 2014.

How much lower can the Republicans in Congress and RNC go?  Throw a dart!
